$5000 can kill ya

My daughter got caught up in the radio call-in craze, you know where if you call in time with an answer you have a chance to win a prize. She’ll actually get up on her own to make a call. (Who knew maybe I should of took up radio announcing to get the kids up in the morning.) I was thinking it’s fortunate she is not on her way to work somewhere though. No wonder there are so many accidents on Tuesday morning around here. Tuesday @ 7 am being the time most of these contest run. It’s alot of cell phone activity and focus to get your call in there. And of course the rage when you don’t.

Since I am deaf and don’t hear my cell  or the radio for that matter I don’t usually get tempted with those kinds of things. In fact unless I keep my cell on my lap I won’t even think of it. I keep it on vibrate and when it does it really does for quite some time too. So not such a good thing for driving with (on my lap that is.)  I could see those headlines now; WOMAN KILLED WHILE FINDING A THRILL GOING DOWN BOYSENBERRY HILL, VIBRATING CELL PHONE FOUND IN HER LAP. Yeah we actually do have a little road around here called Boysenberry.
